Integrated marketing campaign provides an Australian advanced manufacturer with the tools to win new business
Systematiq have been working with BIA5 through a successful Defence Innovation Hub submission that has seen the business go from concept to development funding to compliance testing and validation through to the final stages of development for a unique and innovative technological solution.
However, in the meantime, BIA5 haven’t been standing still, developing other innovative technologies and providing solutions to mining and emergency services industries, along with pursuing opportunities with defence industries overseas.
With upcoming engagement with defence industry stakeholders both in Australia and in Europe, the UK and the US, BIA5 approached Systematiq to provide some guidance and marketing material to assist with these business development opportunities.
Systematiq mobilises across multiple states
With a client based in Queensland, and filming requirements in several locations, Systematiq were able to effectively co-ordinate a team to work remotely and deliver a range of material in a short timeframe.
Sascha Sinclair, Systematiq’s Head of Sales and Marketing, was able to meet with the client to discuss objectives, stakeholders, and the solution in detail, to tease out the value proposition and key win themes that would form the basis of all marketing material including press release, website and social media content recommendations, printed capability statement and quad chart, as well as video scripts and footage for both brand video and product explainer videos.
“Having worked with the client before, there was already a level of trust there, but this was unfamiliar territory for the client. So, part of the conversation involved demonstrating similar projects we’d delivered for clients in the past,” said Sascha.
Effective communication key to winning outcomes
“We had a compressed timeframe and limited budget but were able to mobilise quickly and work with the client, effectively communicating at every step of the way. This led to a smooth process and delivering in time for our client’s overseas commitments.”
Jo Adams, Creative Services Capability Manager at Systematiq commented on working with the client: “While they are certainly experts in their field and highly knowledgeable about the industry and their technology, they had little understanding of working with creative teams and the iterative process.
“I had to take them on a journey, explaining each step of the process and why we were approaching it in this way. It was a learning experience for both of us, and at pace, but we were really happy with the results and most importantly, the client was happy.”
In the process, Systematiq provided a brand refresh to BIA5 that reflected their cutting-edge technology solutions and innovations. We also provided video content on a branded YouTube channel for the client, so it could be accessible while our client was on the road.
Jo added, “I feel we have gone above and beyond the client’s expectations, providing clear and well-designed material that reflects positively for the brand. We have created a suite of products not just for online and digital use, but for face-to-face meetings and presentations, ultimately providing our client with versatility and flexibility.”
