At Systematiq, our Mission is to Move our Clients Forward. How? By solving problems and clearing obstacles; unlocking potential by boosting capability; and by empowering our clients to move ahead by creating certainty.
We have been supporting Australian Defence SME J3Seven with resources and technical capacity for the last five years on various projects to enable them to respond to both acquisition and sustainment opportunities with provision of their products and services across the Australian Defence Force sector.
J3Seven provide cutting-edge equipment, specialised solutions, and expert training to ensure mission success and personnel safety solutions for Australia’s Defence sector. Their mission is to enhance operational readiness and safety for those who protect and serve our nation. They, like us, are proudly Australian veteran owned and therefore have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by Australia’s Defence Forces and have been actively providing technology solutions for over 10 years.
Flexible resource solutions provided at the right time
While their expertise is in the provision of specialised equipment, sustainment and training, we provide assistance with business development resources through bid and tender support; as well as with preparation of the technical documentation required by Defence’s ASDEFCON regulatory process.
Systematiq has provided technical solution architects, systems engineers, integrated logistics specialists, and pre-contract bid management services for a range of projects over time for J3Seven, including the GWEO project, Border Force equipment, and Remote Systems for the RAN as well as CBRNE solutions for Army.
One recent example of this was with their submission to the ADF Maritime Systems Division for some remotely operated underwater vehicles (which ultimately was de-prioritised by the ADF). J3Seven needed assistance to provide the necessary documentation for introduction to service for the ADF standard requirements.
Systematiq deployed a systems architect to work with J3Seven to develop the technical volume documentation, as well as a bid manager and bid writer to support with the development of volumes one and two: Overview, including win themes and value proposition; and Commercial and Financial information, including ability to supply, pricing and delivery schedules, and economic benefit.
Deep understanding of defence leads to better outcomes
Having the ability to reach into our own subject matter experts, and mobilise a team either onsite or remotely, means we have flexibility and scalability depending on the needs of our clients, to enhance our understanding of their needs.
Our proposal team noted, “Being onsite at J3Seven helped us understand the product and create the necessary documentation for service introduction and sustainment, as per the Commonwealth’s ASDEFCON framework.”
Gareth Molnar, CEO of J3Seven, emphasizes the critical nature of the tender process, highlighting its significance as an Australian defence industry supply chain member. He is driven by the impact their solutions can have on the Warfighter.
“We approach each tender very seriously, only submitting products that we believe will truly make a difference for the Warfighter.”
Understanding this commitment, Systematiq provides crucial resources and expertise precisely when needed, allowing Gareth and his team to remain focused on developing solutions that advance Australia’s defence capabilities.
