We improve human performance through training analysis,
design, development, and training evaluation.
We apply systematic procedures to the definition of training and training support requirements for major and minor capital projects.
We use modern theories and principles of instructional design.
We employ industry best-practice to instructional design and the investigation of new and emerging training technologies.
Virtual and constructive simulations are an important focus of our approach, as well as employing proprietary training system modelling tools.
Our clients and experience range from major military projects such as the Joint Strike Fighter, F/ A18 Hornet, Airborne Early Warning and Control, Air Defence Ground Environments, to work with TAC and UNSW.
We are committed to improving human performance and providing your organisation with the solutions to achieve this.
Training is the acquisition of skills, concepts or attitudes that result in improved performance within the job environment.
Our team of training practitioners follow the systems approach to learning, which commences with an Analysis stage. The Analysis is aimed at examining each side of the operational area of the job or function so that the concepts and attitudes of the human elements of a system can be identified and appropriate training can be designed.
Training Design and Development
Training design is the process of creating a blueprint for the development of instruction.
Our team use a systems approach to training design and development, which is aligned to the National VET Regulations (NVR) or as appropriate the Australian Quality Training Framework. This activity establishes the learning objectives, plans the steps to achieve those objectives, sequences and structures the steps to be taken including projects, lectures, videos, assignments, presentations, readings or other activities, and determines the evaluation process
Training evaluation is the systematic process to analyse if training programs and initiatives are effective and efficient.
Our practitioners use the evaluation process to assess if the employee training programs are aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Our team considers evaluation as being an important process of training, it allows company’s the time to reflect, analyse and improve its effectiveness and efficiency of the training.
Learning Systems Analysis utilises a number of methodologies depending on the environment where the training is required. Each methodology has a full suite of options to cover a broad range of clients and service applications which will vary in complexity, depth and the specific deliverables.
1. Learning Systems Analysis utilises the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL), for the majority of Defence related training, which incorporates the previous ADDIE system approach to learning with Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate phases, processes and products consistent with an instructional design methodology.
2.We’ve spent considerable time over the last 20 years developing an in-house training system and modelling tool, Training Analysis and Device Employment Decision Support System (TANDEM DSS). The tool has been used to investigate the required functionality of many training system requirements; such as the Australian Defence Force fixed wing and helicopter undergraduate Pilot training, Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter aircrew training and the RNZAF P-3K2 Orion Pilot and Flight Engineer training to name a few.
3.For other clients and industries a systems approach to training design and development is utilised, which is aligned to the National VET Regulations (NVR) or as appropriate the Australian Quality Training Framework. This activity establishes the learning objectives, plans the steps to achieve those objectives, sequences and structures the steps to be taken including projects, lectures, videos, assignments, presentations, readings or other activities, and determines the evaluation process. This methodology has been utilised successfully with Victorian TAC for the DriveSmart, RideSmart and the Perfect Ride products.
