APV: DEFENCE FUNDING PROPOSAL

When providing support to Australian Performance Vehicles (APV) on a Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority (SICP) Grant for specialist equip- ment, Systematiq was able to identify Defence market opportunities and tailor the SICP application to fulfil the known gaps in their current services.

Systematiq also advised APV on how to frame the application response and strengthen their case. Systematiq developed a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Basis Of Estimate (BOE) for APV to accompany the grant application, providing a clear and transparent budget and delivery strategy that were consistent with both the industry’s needs and the grant’s requirements.

The result was a successful grant submission that resulted in APV securing the grant to purchase and install new equipment, helping the company better target Defence opportunities while also being able to provide specialist training to its employees. Systematiq is further engaged with APV-T to develop a Defence Capture Plan including market analysis, documentation, and strategy.

ENIQUEST: ASDEFCON TENDER SUBMISSION

Having been a provider of power generation systems for the Australian Defence Force for more than 25 years, Eniquest prides themselves on producing and supplying quality Australian made products. Faced with
the challenge of submitting their first ASDEFCON Complex Procurement Proposal, Eniquest contracted Systematiq to ensure that they could rise to the challenge of a major tender for the Land Systems Division.

By utilising Systematiq’s expert communication skills, proven profession- al abilities and trusted experience, Eniquest delivered a sophisticated solution to the Defence request for tender. On top of the time and resource pressures, Eniquest were also confronted by the enormity of the ASDEFCON Complex Procurement Proposal. Our approach is dictated by our clients and at what point we are engaged in the process. Ideally we like to be engaged as early as possible, to assist our clients in shaping their response to best suit Defence’s needs and requirements.

We have templated systems and processes that mean we can scale up or down as a project progresses, and communicate effectively and often to ensure we meet all milestones and outcomes.

Our team

Systematiq was formed through a partnership between two ex-serving members of the ADF. It has since grown to include ex-Defence members across all serving departments at all levels. We actively encourage career pathways for those who are transitioning out of their Defence careers and provide opportunities to stay connected through our Defence projects. We also encourage diversity through our employment program and welcome people with a mix of experience and backgrounds as this ensures we have a balanced and highly skilled team across all our services.

Our staff have a demonstrated knowledge of how Defence procurement, program delivery and sustainment work from the key decision makers, down to the ‘boots on the ground’. This gives us a unique advantage in understanding how to approach Defence tenders and proposals in order to link Defence industry with business opportunities.
